Requiem for the Living

By Captain’s Quarters

This two-part series is set between the events of “Resurrection Ship II” and “Epiphanies” and recounts a possible avenue Laura Roslin and Bill Adama might have taken during her “final” days, examining the emotional complexity of the characters and their relationship. It takes place on a single night aboard the Galactica and is rated NC-17 for mature (adult) content.

The first part is told from Laura’s point of view and the second part is from Bill’s.

The series was inspired by several observations, namely how Adama repeatedly reached out to the dying Roslin, offering her a personal, human connection at a time when most people tend to withdraw.

  • Part 2: CommunionBill Adama faces the impending death of Laura Roslin by embracing the life within her and the woman she hides from the world.
  • Part 1: BenedictionAs Laura Roslin faces her death, Bill Adama reaches out to the delicate woman beneath the presidential armor, offering her a chance to reaffirm life through one of its singular joys.
